Boaters will need to take it slow on Fourth of July, as Huntington is enforcing a temporary 5 mph speed limit.

The speed limit will be in effect from 8:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. on July 4. The harbormaster says it applies to all of the town's bays and harbors.

The harbormaster also wants boaters to wear life jackets and make sure their boats are at appropriate passenger capacity.
